Position Overview
The Part-Time Bookkeeper will support the CFO by managing daily accounting activities, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and financial record maintenance. This role is ideal for someone who is looking for a long-term part-time position with flexibility and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in-house
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records using QuickBooks Online and Desktop
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Track rent payments and tenant transactions using RentReady
- Utilize and maintain detailed Excel spreadsheets for reporting and tracking
- Work with Google Docs and Microsoft Word for documentation and recordkeeping
- Collaborate closely with the CFO on financial processes and reporting
- Support month-end close preparation and general bookkeeping duties
- Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders as needed
Payroll is outsourced; all other accounting functions are handled internally.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accounting Professional
- Hands-on, recent experience with QuickBooks (Online and Desktop required)
- Strong proficiency in Excel; comfortable working with multiple spreadsheets
- Experience using Google Docs and Microsoft Office
- Real estate or rent/tenant accounting experience is preferred, not required
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and professional in communication
- Reliable, polished, and looking for a long-term part-time role
- Must be comfortable working in-person Monday through Friday
